I am writing an autobiography and in this I am mentioning an ex husband, so my question to you is, do I have to have his permission to do so?
ANSWER
Legally, you don't need his permission, but in a litigious society, you do need to consider whether what you write might be seen as libel. In addition, you might consider the moral responsibility of a writer to not betray secrets or unnecessarily hurt others.
