Publishing agent for poetry

I am a young poet and I am looking for a publishing agent for my first book. Do you know of any good publishing agents located in Toronto, GTA area of Canada?

Hi Arzoo. You won't find an agent for poetry. There's no money in it for an agent (and very little for the author), so agents do not generally represent poets. You'd have to be world famous first, and making thousands of dollars off your poetry.

Instead, send your poems out to literary journals. When you've had several dozen poems published in literary journals, approach poetry presses about putting them into a book. They'll ask for your ms., and if they like it, they'll publish a collection of your poetry. They will not expect you to have an agent, only publishing credits and distinctive poetry.
